The challenge was to create your project
with the title "I Will Sing You a Song" in mind.
And the first thing that came to my mind - were the birds outside my window every morning.
I am an early riser....usually up by 5 to 6 AM. Everyone else is still asleep so its very quiet.
Ahhhh, how I love that time of day.
And now, its warming up a bit and I can open my window.
Every spring, I always think how much I missed the singing birds.
And that is what this card is based on.
Even more than I thought actually...what I noticed is the colors
in the card, ARE the colors of my family room!
The room I sit in during the morning hours!
I thought...I picked the blue background cause it was pretty...
but now...I think there was more to it.
Ohhh if you all could have been a fly on the wall this week!
Every time my hubby asked what was for dinner, I went into a dramatic, Meryl Streep--y
type of drawl, rolled my eyes to the back of my head and said "ARTISTS do NOT cook dahling!"
Of course, 3 minutes later, I was over the stove.
Each time he left the house, whether it was to go to visit his parents, to work or our local grocery store,
I said "HEY don't forget to tell ____(fill in blank with appropriate name) that "I WON 1st PLACE
in the Pack Your Bags Challenge and I WILL BE the guest designer this weekend!"
This time, he rolled his eyes ... and gagged. By Thursday, he didn't find my artist jokes too funny.
;)
Oh, the time I have had with this. I really have.
I think I found that "inner child" in myself...
you know what I mean?
Silly?
Maybe...probably so.
But I LOVE silly!
