We Love Our Hero’s Blog Hop 5/21
Today is Armed Forces Day, so again, this is a hop to support and bring awareness to the works of Operation Write Home . OPERATION WRITE HOME sends cards to our deployed personnel in 2 different ways … today’s hop focuses on HERO MAIL - these cards will go directly to our armed forces (all branches, guys & gals). This type of card is our personal thank you to the hero.
Did you know - OWH also asks us to design cards that the service persons can send home to their families? Oh I LOVE this idea! Lets face it guys - they do not have a Wal-Mart or Hallmark they can run in at the last moment to get a greeting card for their family. And can you think of any mother, wife, sister - that deserves a birthday card or mothers day card more than a Military Wife / Mom / Sibling? What about the children of our military? How happy do you think they are seeing a card from dad or mom - specially made for them?
I have seen your designs and creations - there are some gorgeously stunning cards on the blogs I have visited...so PLEASE ... take time to send a few or create a few especially for those that are protecting us every minute of every day.
There are a few guidelines Operation Write Home will ask you to follow. Its nothing major. So please take some time to visit their site. (Link below) And listen - if you can’t create a card(s) -- donate $1...$5. Or however much you can spare. They accept Paypal and it’s a tax write off!!!
